In clinical practice, she emphasizes that treatment should be both effective and aesthetically considerate. By integrating specialist breast techniques with breast plastic and reconstructive principles, she seeks to unify disease control, functional preservation, and postoperative appearance, and has been recognized by patients for her refined "beauty-focused" surgical approach.
Prof. Zhao has long explored innovative integrated Chinese-Western pathways for breast disease treatment. She developed the "Six-Step Lactation Blockage Relief Method" for milk stasis, and this technique was recognized as a Shanghai appropriate TCM technology, approved as an industry standard for nationwide promotion, and later included in Belt and Road international promotion programs. She also created the "Three-Step Eradication Method for Plasma Cell Mastitis", which has been used to treat a large number of inflammatory breast-disease patients, substantially reducing recurrence issues in granulomatous or plasma cell mastitis through an integrated Chinese-Western approach and helping address a long-standing clinical challenge.
She also has extensive experience in non-invasive and minimally invasive treatment of lactational breast abscesses, aiming to preserve breastfeeding function for new mothers while also protecting breast integrity and aesthetics.
Academically, Prof. Zhao has served as a provincial key-discipline leader and as a selected talent in major municipal talent-development programs, and she currently serves as Vice Chair of the Expert Committee of the "Healthy China Women's Tumor Prevention and Control Project" among other professional academic organizations.
