江华 Prof. Hua Jiang

Prof. Hua Jiang is Director of Plastic Surgery at Shanghai East Hospital, Tongji University, Professor, Chief Physician, and PhD Supervisor.

• Academic leadership: President of the 6th Committee of Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons, Chinese Medical Doctor Association; President of the Shanghai Association of Plastic and Aesthetic Physicians; Chair of the Plastic Surgery Branch of Shanghai Medical Association; Vice Chair of the China Chapter of the Pan-Asia Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; and former Chair of the Endoscopic Technology and Breast Plastic Surgery Committees under the Aesthetic and Plastic Surgeons Branch of CMDA.
• Honors and distinctions: Recipient of the Shanghai Silver Snake Award, Shanghai New Long March Commando title, Military Science and Technology Rising Star, PLA Talent Cultivation Silver Award, and Outstanding CPC Member (PLA General Logistics Department). He received a municipal meritorious citation from the Shanghai Municipal Government and was selected for the Shanghai Science and Technology Leading Talent Program, the Cross-century 100 Discipline Leaders Program, and the Shanghai Rising-Star Program. During the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, he led a medical team to the disaster area at the earliest stage and was awarded a military second-class merit.
• Research and publications: Led 7 major national, military, and Shanghai research projects; published over 150 papers in domestic and international journals, including over 80 SCI-indexed papers.
• Editorial and book contributions: Associate Editor of the Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology; standing editorial board member or editorial board member of multiple journals including the Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery and the Chinese Journal of Practical Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery. Chief editor of Reconstruction and Re-creation of External Genitalia; chief translator of McCarthy Plastic Surgery - Breast Volume and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (4th edition); and contributor to multiple major surgical monographs.
• Science and technology awards: As first contributor, received one each of National Invention Third Prize, Military Science and Technology Progress Second Prize, Chinese Medical Science and Technology Second Prize, and Shanghai Medical Science and Technology Second Prize. As second contributor, received one National Science and Technology Progress Second Prize.
