杨国胜 Prof. Guosheng Yang

Prof. Guosheng Yang is a Chief Physician, Professor, PhD holder, Doctoral and Postdoctoral Supervisor, visiting scholar in the United States, and recipient of the National Distinguished Physician title. He currently serves as Director of Urology at Shanghai East Hospital (Tongji University Affiliated) and Secretary of the Comprehensive Surgical Party Branch.

• Academic leadership: Member of the World Chinese Urological Surgeons Association; Committee Member and Deputy Lead of the Science Communication Group of the Urology Branch of CMDA; Committee Member and Deputy Secretary-General of the Andrology and Sexual Medicine Branch of CMDA; Deputy Leader of the Laser Group of the Urology Branch of CMA; Committee Member of the Endoscopy Branch of CMDA; and Committee Member/Secretary of the Shanghai Medical Association Urology Branch.
• Editorial and guideline roles: Editorial board member of Huang Jiasi Surgery; Deputy Editor for prostate and seminal vesicle diseases in Wu Jieping Urology; Deputy Editor for urinary incontinence and editorial board member for BPH in the Chinese Urology and Andrology Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines; Associate Editor of the Asian Journal of Urology; and Standing Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Urology.
• Awards and honors: 2nd National Distinguished Physician Award (2018), Outstanding Clinical Department Director Award of Guangdong Hospitals (2019), Diamond Award of the CMA Urology Branch (2019), and the 2012 National Ministry of Science and Technology Endoscopic Technology Outstanding Achievement Award.
• Clinical distinction: A highly experienced lead surgeon in urology and andrology, including serving as chief surgeon for prostate surgery in notable high-profile patients, including Chairman Mao's former bodyguard and an Oscar winner.
