At the ceremony, the Cross-Strait Telemedicine Cooperation Platform and the Shanghai Designated Hospital for Taiwan Compatriots were officially unveiled, and a strategic agreement was signed to enable two-way medical access between Shanghai and Taiwan.
For Taiwan compatriots in Shanghai, SIMC provides one-stop access to top tertiary specialists, online consultations with Taiwan experts, and post-visit support such as reimbursement assistance.
Mainland residents can also access remote consultations and referral pathways to leading Taiwan hospitals, including advanced treatment options.
The initiative aims to deepen cross-strait medical and academic exchange through combined inward and outward collaboration and shared healthcare resources.
SIMC reaffirmed its role as an international comprehensive hospital and pledged to further support cross-strait medical exchange through designated services and platform-based care.
